Global warming is threatening our beer!
Turns out hops require a fair amount of water in order to thrive. As the earth warms us, we’ll gradually have more and more trouble growing them. Farmers will switch to more drought-resistant strains of hops, which will make our beer taste different, and cost more!! More info from NOAA here
Heaven forbid they should fail at that and we’d have no hops left!
Since we believe that Global warming is all part of the Global Beer Industrial Complex’s plan to dominate the planet, this doesn’t make much sense. How can they control us through our corporate brewed beer if there are not enough hops? Certainly, our Beer Overlords won’t let that happen to us. Will they?
