A couple of dozen actual beer drinkers are suing to stop the massive acquisition of SABMiller by Anheuser-Busch InBev.
In the suit, filed in Oregon, naturally, the drinkers claim that the merger would reduce competition and that would lead to higher prices, lower quality beer, and fewer beer options. Basically, it’s bad for the little guy beer drinkers all over the world.
This is a real-world David vs. Goliath battle with nothing less at stake than the beer we drink all the time. We wish them luck and a really good aim with their legal slingshot!
We see this as the Global Beer Overlords simply combining their forces to reduce costs and make it even easier for them to control us all through the miracle of beer. But we’re a little biased…
